The twelve days of Christmas is a popular song at this time of year. For each of the twelve days, the singer is given a gift, beginning withthe first one, a partridge in a pear tree. Well, I don’t have anyexotic gifts to pass out, but I do have a whole bunch of sites thathaven’t fit into other columns this year. So I thought I’d see if I couldmatch the song in number. Here it goes, arranged sort of byage/proficiency of learners.
1. Here is a site to help teachers teach about times. It has bothonline and printable activities.http://www.fi.edu/time/Journey/JustInTime/contents.html
2. Here’s a game to play to learn to tell the time online:http://www.teachingtime.co.uk/draggames/sthec1.html
3. Here’s an audio concentration game for the months. Great foryoung learners.http://www.manythings.org/ac/months.html
4. Here is a phonics site with an audio activity for sound recognition.http://teacher.scholastic.com/clifford1/flash/phonics/index.htm.

7. Looking for phonics stories? Some really easy phonics stories canbe found athttp://www.mcedservices.com/phonics/phonics.html orhttp://www.starfall.com/n/level-a/learn-to-read/load.htm?f
That’s enough for the kiddies. Let’s move on.

The website is currently beingredone, but there is a video towatch now. It contains this statement: “In order to tackle thechallenges of the 21st century, we mustprepare the next generation for their global reality.” That meansgiving learners the chance toengage with learners from other cultures.http://www.oneworldyouthproject.org/
