Hello everyone. I’ve written before about using the web for projects. This month I’d like to introduce two sites that are made for webquests. A webquest is similar to a treasure hunt. It requires students to visit several websites to find information. However, a treasure hunt asks students only to find answers to quiz questions. A webquest requires students to look more carefully at the websites and to use the content in making a report or presentation. Teachers can make webquests quite easily by setting a topic and providing students with a list of links. By choosing the sites, we can limit the amount of content students encounter and we can help them from getting “lost” in cyberspace.
