Join the Revolution!

The rapid application development tool Runtime Revolution (http://www.runrev.com/) has proven to be an excellent tool for creating CALL materials. In this introductory workshop, the basics of Revolution will be covered. Examples of CALL activities made in Revolution will be demonstrated. Then participants will learn how to use the most important tools and how to produce their own CALL materials. Emphasis will be placed on the multimedia capabilities that are built into Revolution, such as playing and recording audio and video and displaying graphics. Participants will be provided with templates upon which their CALL activities can be based.

Special note: If
possible, participants
should use their own laptops. Before the workshop, they should download a free
30-day trial of Revolution Media and install it on their laptops. The software
may be downloaded from http://www.runrev.com/downloads/free-trial/.
Computers will be available for participants who do not bring a laptop.
